Every duck adopted in the Chicago Ducky Derby supports Special Olympics Illinois. Its programs reach a community of more than 24,000 athletes: traditional athletes, Young Athletes, Peer Partners and Unified Partners.

Athletes train year-round, compete for medals, get free health screenings and build leadership skills they carry into school, work and their communities. Your $10 duck helps make all of it possible.

On race day, more than 85,000 numbered ducks drop off the Columbus Drive Bridge and race down the Chicago River. The first ducks across the finish line win their adopters a prize. You don't need to be there to win.
