How it works
Adopt a duck for $10. If your duck crosses first, you win. You don't need to be there.
Each $10 duck gets a number that matches your adoption.

More than 85,000 ducks tumble into the Chicago River together.
The ducks float toward the finish line in about 30 minutes.
The first ducks across are matched to their adopters. Winners are contacted by phone or email.
Meet our ambassador
Becky has competed with Special Olympics Illinois for 13 years and has been a Darling Duckling for 10. Her favorite sport is gymnastics, and her medals show it.
This year Becky is the face of the Chicago Ducky Derby. Every duck you adopt helps athletes like her train, compete and lead in their communities.
