Our team is comprised of Special Olympics Illinois Athletes who not only compete on the playing field, but also educate, inspire and engage the public! Our team works together all summer long to increase awareness around Chicago Ducky Derby and drive duck adoptions which in the end, helps us participate in the sports we love! Our team is racing to hit our duck adoption goal before the Duck Drop on August 7th! This year, our goal is to drop over 75,000 rubber ducks into the Chicago River to race towards the finish line. All proceeds from the Chicago Ducky Derby go to benefit Special Olympics Illinois and will impact a community of over 26,000 traditional athletes, Young Athletes, Peer Partners and Unified Partners throughout Illinois building inclusive communities throughout the world.
